Pastor's Corner

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” (Psalm 8:3–4, ESV)

How majestic is Your Name!

Take the time today to read and reread Psalm 8. The blessings of meditating upon the glory and greatness of God cannot be underestimated. It is a glorious exercise of humility and faith where one must rejoice in the grace of God.

God’s grace and goodness brings hope and confidence. God’s name is excellent in all the earth. His name isn’t only excellent in the church. His name isn’t only great among those in Christ. Without exception, every knee will bow, every mouth confess… knowing that God’s Name is Majestic in all the earth.

Let us not act like His name is small or insignificant. Let us not treat His Name as limited, or restricted to a realm of our choosing. God’s greatness is beyond our reckoning.

When we look at the work of God’s hands, the beauty of His creation, the magnificence of His world, what other way can we appropriately respond? What is more fitting than praising His Name? Who are we that God over all would even consider mankind?

Rejoice with the psalmist and praise the most holy name of God! May today be a day where we rejoice in the work of His hands!
